BAYSTAR HOTEL GROUP'S HOLIDAY INN CAPITOL EAST LANDS APPLEBEE'S

TAMPA (May 30, 2008) — BayStar Hotel Group has signed a lease with Apple Two Associates, Inc. for an Applebee's Neighborhood Grill and Bar in its Holiday Inn - Capitol East in Tallahassee, Fla.

“Combining Holiday Inn and Applebee’s creates a win-win situation for both branded hospitality companies,” said George Glover, chairman of BayStar Hotel Group. “When both companies focus on what they do best-clean, comfortable accomodations and consistently good casual dining-you create great synergy.”

Applebee’s is renovating a 5,218-square-foot space formerly occupied by the Tallahassee Ale House into a $1 million Applebee’s protoype featuring an entirely updated design, 30 percent more parking and better visibility and access. Construction began in May and the new Applebee’s is projected to open in August (2008). An existing Applebee’s across the street will remain open until relocating to the Holiday Inn-Capitol East.
