BAYSTAR HOTEL GROUP'S HOTEL INDIGO LAUNCHES ART
PROGRAM
TAMPA (September 30, 2009) — BayStar Hotel
Group’s stylish Hotel Indigo - St. Petersburg
Historic Downtown District has launched its art program by
showcasing the work of Robert Epstein. Epstein, whose High
Stone Studio is located in Redington Beach, Fla., has
placed pieces from his TROPIKON series in the hotel’s
lobby.
The Hotel Indigo brand supports the arts in various
communities, with the downtown St. Petersburg Hotel Indigo
using its lobby to showcase the work of painters and other
visual artists. The TROPIKON series of acrylic paintings
are bold, colorful abstracts with a tropical feel that fit
well with the Hotel Indigo’s fuchsia and green
Florida-style lobby.
The public is invited to drop by the hotel, located at 234
Third Avenue North, to view Epstein’s work between 8
a.m. and 7 p.m. daily. Originals and prints of the
paintings are available for sale, and a price list is
available at the hotel’s registration desk.
About Rob Epstein
Epstein moved to Redington Beach, Fla. from northern
California seven years ago, optimistic about the
area’s creative and economic future. Named one of
Florida’s top artists by Bill Zimmer, the New York
Times art critic, Epstein creates sculptures and paintings.
His work appears in corporate and private settings,
throughout Europe and the United States, including the
National Endowment for the Arts. Epstein’s 31-foot
mega sculpture “Soaring Spirits” recently
debuted at Avion Park Westshore near the Tampa
International Airport, and he is working on a memorial
sculpture for Florida Fishermen Lost at Sea. For more
