BAYSTAR HOTEL GROUP BREAKS GROUND ON HAMPTON INN
& SUITES–LARGO TOWNE CENTRE
LARGO, FLA. (Jan. 18, 2005) — BayStar Hotel Group,
LLC has broken ground on its five-story Hampton Inn &
Suites–Largo Towne Centre. Located in downtown Largo
at the intersection of East Bay Drive and Seminole
Boulevard, the 92-room hotel is scheduled to open during
the fourth quarter of 2005.
“There’s a lot going on in Largo with the new
library, redevelopment along Clearwater-Largo Road, the
downtown retail and residential renewal, and the natural
amenity of the Largo Central Park. The presence of the
Hampton will further establish its Towne Centre,”
said George Glover, Chairman and CEO of BayStar Hotel
Group, a Tampa-based hotel development and management
company.
With traditional guest rooms and studio suites, the $7.5
million, 63,000-square-foot hotel will serve business and
leisure guests. The new hotel will have 2,000 square feet
of meeting space including two meeting rooms that can be
combined to accommodate meetings of up to 100 in addition
to a smaller board room. Room rates will range from $89 to
$139, and like all BayStar Hotels, Largo’s Hampton
Inn will welcome pets.
