BAYSTAR HOTEL GROUP HIRES RICHARD DONOHUE AS GM FOR NEW HAMPTON INN & SUITES HOTEL IN DOWNTOWN LARGO

TAMPA (Dec. 28, 2005) — BayStar Hotel Group, LLC has recruited Richard Donohue to serve as the general manager of its new Hampton Inn & Suites Hotel in downtown Largo, Fla., which opened on Dec. 22. Donohue oversees the hotel’s operations, including staffing, occupancy, guest satisfaction, front office, housekeeping, budgeting, and maintenance.

Donohue has been in the hotel industry since 1990, most recently serving as general manager of the Hampton Inn Cleveland/Westlake in Westlake, Ohio. He has held a series of progressively more responsible positions with Hilton, Extended Stay and Hampton hotels and earned several industry leadership certifications.

The five-story, 92-room, $8 million Hampton Inn & Suites is located at 100 East Bay Drive in Largo and can be reached at 727-585-3333. With traditional guest rooms and 27 studio suites, the 63,000-square-foot hotel serves business and leisure guests. The new Hampton has 2,000 square feet of meeting space, including two meeting rooms that can be combined to accommodate meetings of up to 90, in addition to a smaller Executive Board Room. Amenities include a heated swimming pool, an exercise facility and a Suite Shoppe sundry store. The Hampton Inn & Suites will also offer a complimentary hot breakfast, in-room movies, two-line telephones with free local calls, and free high-speed Internet access. The room rates will range from $99 to $149. Like all BayStar Hotels, the downtown Largo Hampton Inn welcomes pets.
